  34. With respect Dave, I don't beleive that the 90% figure is correct...while 
  35. it may hold true for the 16bit VLM, the 32 bit version will make these 
  36. percentages a thing of the past.  Quality will be decided by choosing how 
  37. many megs per second you prefer to write (and what your drive setup will 
  38. handle).

  40. I'm told that the Draco Direct VLM is due around June, and is a $500.00 
  41. upgrade from the existing board.

  43. Further, 90% can appear quite good indeed...depends on your use.  My 
  44. understanding is that this would be more than adequate for very good S-Video.

  47. BTW, work is being done on some HD solutions to handle the higher rates 
  48. the Draco is capable of - among these is an opton to use multiple drives 
  49. to be seen as one partition...i.e., 3 X 9gigs ->1 X 27 gig drive!
